The heating pattern from the dipole antenna based on SAR distribution pattern shows that the focus area of the human tissues model, that has been designed using water bolus model has high Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) value compare to the surrounding area. The result shows that the dipole antenna is deemed to be used as hyperthermia applicator. The analysis has been done using simulation model in CST microwave simulation software based on FDTD technique. In this research, the capability of a dipole antenna as hyperthermia applicator has been analyzed. With these values, the time duration of the exposure for the cancer cell will also be different. Unfortunately, as different antenna design produces different radiation pattern, it will lead to different heating distribution values. CST STUDIO SUITE can offer considerable product to market advantages such as shorter development cycles, virtual prototyping before physical trials, and optimization instead of experimentation. In hyperthermia treatment for cancer, the antenna used as hyperthermia applicator needs to be designed carefully in order to heat the cancer cell without affecting the healthy cell. System assembly and modeling facilitates multi-physics and co-simulation as well as the management of entire electromagnetic systems. Analyses may include thermal and mechanical effects, as well as circuit simulation.ĬST STUDIO SUITE benefits from an integrated design environment which gives access to the entire range of solver technology. It comprises CST’s tools for the design and optimization of devices operating in a wide range of frequencies - static to optical. The electromagnetic simulation software CST STUDIO SUITE® is the culmination of many years of research and development into the most accurate and efficient computational solutions for electromagnetic designs. Today, the company enjoys a leading position in the high-frequency EM simulation market and employs 240 personnel around the world. CST’s Complete Technology approach allows its products to complement each other, offering greater accuracy, versatility, and usability.ĬST’s customers are market leaders in industries as diverse as telecommunications, defense, automotive, electronics and healthcare.

With both general and specialized solvers available, CST’s products can be used across the electromagnetic spectrum. Founded in 1992, CST develops high-performance software for the simulation of electromagnetic fields in all frequency bands as part of CST STUDIO SUITE®, and also sells and supports complementary third-party products.
